Minimum Qualifications For Vocational Instructor 1/SG12: Four years of appropriate trade experience and an Associates degree in appropriate to the teaching field and two years of such experience or a Bachelor's degree appropriate to the teaching to the teaching field and one year of such experience.
For Vocational Instructor 2/SG13: in addition to meeting the level one qualifications, candidates must have completed sic credit hours toward obtaining a New York State Certificate for teaching the appropriate trade specialty.
For Vocational Instructor 3/SG15: Possession of a valid professional New York State Certificate for the appropriate trade specialty.
For Vocational Instructor 4/SG17: Possession of a valid permanent New York State Certificate for teaching the appropriate trade specialty and two years of professional teaching experience.
Duties Description This item is responsible for teaching and instructing inmates at Fishkill Correctional Facility in the subject of Custodial Maintenance. the job duties include preparing course outlines, preparing daily or weekly lessons, conducting instruction and demonstration for learners and supervising practical applications of formal instruction. this item is the only item that instructs Custodial Maintenance to our very large inmate population. This item is critical to fill for the inmate population here at this facility.
