Minimum Qualifications MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Candidates must be reachable for appointment on the current Civil Service Eligible List, Professional Careers Opportunity (PCO) or OPWDD’s Central Office Public Administration Traineeship Transition (PATT). Appointment will be made at the traineeship level.
OR
Transfer: Candidates must have permanent competitive status in the posted title and be eligible for lateral transfer; OR be eligible to transfer via Section 70.1, 70.4 or 52.6 of Civil Service Law. The transfer cannot be a second consecutive transfer resulting in an advancement of more than two salary grades.
Duties Description POSITION DESCRIPTION:
This position will be assigned to the Care Coordination and Managed Care Transition Unit and support the major initiatives thereof. Duties will include, but not be limited to the following:
PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Schedule and organize meetings, conference calls and video conferences on behalf of the Director and unit.
• Daily evaluation of the Director’s calendar to eliminate and prioritize meetings.
• Track and monitor progress of various initiatives in the unit and conduct follow-up activities as necessary.
• Professional written and oral communication on behalf of the Director with Executive leadership, state agencies, providers, care coordination organizations and internal and external stakeholders.
• Review all correspondence submitted for the Director’s signature in accordance with established policy or instructions.
• Proofread, assemble and coordinate documents and related materials for meetings and wide distribution.
• Prepare as necessary travel vouchers, purchase requisitions, etc.
• Maintain/organize paper and computer-based topic files, office materials and confidential information.
• Track employee absences and manage time sheets
• Serve as liaison with Personnel in the monitoring of unit staffing, ensuring appropriate staff resources are obtained in a timely manner and that staffing, performance evaluations, training and other items are tracked.
• Perform other office duties as required
