Salary RangeFrom $80768 to $102093 Annually
Minimum Qualifications Admission to the New York State Bar and have two years of post-admission experience in the practice of law.
Duties Description 1. Responsible for responding to administrative appeals and litigation considering Board matters;
2. Provides legal advice to the Board, the Bureau of Adjudication and other Board staff;
3. Assists Board of Parole Counsel with addressing internal issues that arise between the Board and DOCCS staff;
4. Aids in drafting legislation, regulations and directives for the Board;
5. Interfaces frequently with the Office of the Attorney concerning litigation issues;
6. Special projects as needed and directed b the Board of Parole Counsel; and
7. Helps with drafting training materials that will be supplied to Board staff.
