Minimum Qualifications MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Candidates must be reachable for appointment on the current Civil Service Eligible List, Professional Careers Opportunity (PCO) or OPWDD’s Central Office Public Administration Traineeship Transition (PATT). Appointment will be made at the traineeship level.
OR
Transfer: Candidates must have permanent competitive status in the posted title and be eligible for lateral transfer; OR be eligible to transfer via Section 70.1 or 52.6 of Civil Service Law. The transfer cannot be a second consecutive transfer resulting in an advancement of more than two salary grades.
Duties Description POSITION DESCRIPTION:
Under the general direction of the MWBE Coordinator, the incumbent will be responsible for compliance with the provisions of Article 15-A of the Executive Law and the rules and regulations contained within 5 NYCRR Parts 140-44 and ensure that Minority and Women Owned Business Enterprises (MWBEs) are given opportunities to participate in the Office for People With Developmental Disabilities procurements. Duties of the position will include, but not be limited to the following:
• Review and approve Goal Calculation Worksheets and Utilization Plans
• Request In-Year Exclusions and Waivers
• Maintain MWBE data in the NYS Contract System (B2GNow).
• Ensure work performed is properly tracked to ensure accuracy with the quarterly reports and Annual Master Goal Plan submitted to ESD and OGS.
• Routine communication with various Contract Management Staff within OPWDD, ESD/MWBE staff as well as the OGS/SDVOB liaison.
• Participate in numerous annual outreach events.
