Duties Description The Health Program Administrator (HPA) will work in the Bureau of Supplemental Food Programs (BSFP), Vendor Management Section (VMS). BSFP administers the New York State Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants and Children (WIC). The VMS is responsible for all WIC vendor management activities including but not limited to contract management of four Vendor Management Agencies (VMAs), development of policies and procedures for vendor applications, trainings and monitoring activities, and maintaining sufficient access to meet participant needs.

The HPA will be responsible for the review of Federal regulations and program policies related to the WIC Program as well as creating and revising vendor policies and procedures, preparing written and verbal communication for various target audiences. Written materials may include memos, training material, PowerPoint presentations, release notes, and WIC Watch articles. Verbal communication may include technical assistance and conducting presentations. This position will also assist with preparing the Vendor Request for Applications (RFA) and periodic user acceptance testing for the vendor module of the WIC Management Information System (NYWIC).

Additional Comments Permanent, full-time. Occasional travel to locations that may not be served by public transportation is required.
