Minimum Qualifications The Temporary Economic Development Program Specialist 1 Agriculture requires a Bachelor’s Degree.
Duties Description Standard Duties:
The Economic Development Program Specialist 1 Agriculture applies agricultural business knowledge, training, and experience to provide agricultural economic development services to develop, promote, and market New York State (NYS) agricultural products and commodities. Incumbents deliver and administer programs and projects that provide technical assistance, business support services, economic development, and marketing and promotion guidance to individuals, companies and organizations in the food and agricultural industry.
Specific Duties:
• Represent the program at tradeshows and conferences
• Create and monitor social media postings
• Create and send out mailings and email outreach
• Create newsletter articles
• Annual reviews of NYS Grown and Certified participants for the Farm-to-School reimbursement program
• Tracking of annual certifications required by the NYS Grown and Certified program
