Minimum Qualifications MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
A bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited college or university, or one recognized by the New York State Education Department* as following acceptable education practices AND two years of professional experience providing professional administrative and staff support to executives, program managers and staff, boards, or commissions by managing budgeting, human resources, and business services for an organization or program, conducting special studies and research projects, and managing office and support activities.
OR
A Juris Doctor, master's or higher degree* in a field related to the position being filled, AND one year of professional experience described above.

Duties Description STANDARD DUTIES:
Under the direction of the Unemployment Insurance Program Manager 2, you would assist in human resources and project management activities for the Unemployment Insurance Program & Policy Development Unit. You would research position and program procurements and advise of status and discrepancies; manage procurement of goods and services; manage office and project support functions, including printing, inventory, mail, scheduling of project sessions, coordinating staffing and meeting schedules, management of central files and project directories, and needs assessments for space and equipment; obtain staffing plans from managers and assist with staffing, scheduling and workload forecasting; coordinate with administration office to fill needed positions and coordinate onboarding/offboarding of program and vendor staff; coordinate vendor resources; coordinate and monitor the progress of bureau projects, programs and deliverable deadlines; assist in the preparation and review of program reports, including gathering needed material, reviewing material received for accuracy and completeness, evaluation of material, making recommendations for inclusion of additional material if needed, compiling materials and editing report drafts; and prepare other written materials about the program. This role will require frequent use and facility with sophisticated software programs.
