Salary RangeFrom $70982 to $80454 Annually
Minimum Qualifications Open to NYS Employees: Currently licensed as Registered Nurse and eligible to transfer under Section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law
Open to the Public: There will be no written examination. Applicants not currently in a permanent Nurse 2 title or on the eligible list must meet one of the following qualifications.
1. A license to practice as a Registered Nurse in NYS
2. A limited permit to practice as a Registered Nurse in NYS.
3. An application on file for a limited permit to practice as a Registered Nurse in NSY (You must be appointed immediately following graduation from an approved school of nursing to qualify under this option)
NOTE: If you are appointed with either qualification 2 or 3, you must obtain your Registered Nurse license within one (1) year of the date your limited permit was issued or the appointment will be voided. Continued employment will be contingent upon maintaining a valid NYS license to practice as a Registered Nurse.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Experience with the Geriatric population
Duties Description Nurse 2's coordinate nursing care activities with other health care disciplines involved in the treatment effort to relate and integrate the nursing regimen with the total treatment plan of the residents. Observe nursing care and visit residents to ensure that the nursing care is carried out as directed and treatment is administerrf in accordance with physician's orders, and to ascertain the need for additional or modified services. Based on a comprehensive review of the resident's background, review and evaluate nursing care plans to ensure the nursing care, procedures and practices selected will best serve the resident's physical and mental needs. You may also act as a charge nurse on a unit and e responsible for maintaining inventory standards for medicine, controlled drugs and narcotics
Additional Comments All Shifts Available. Base salary includes: Geographic, Impractical and Location Pay. Please add additional $3,620.00 for the Evening Shift Differential and $4,500.00 for the Night Shift Differential.
