Demonstrated excellence of teaching psychology at the undergraduate level.

Preferred Qualifications

In addition to the aforementioned minimum qualifications, it is preferred the candidate also have:

Experience with counseling or a closely related field with an ecological approach, especially with vulnerable populations.

Student focused experience outside of classroom (e.g., research, advisement, internship supervision/site development).

Experience with inter-disciplinary collaboration.

Duties Description The Applied Psychology program at SUNY Cobleskill is seeking a candidate who is strongly committed to excellence in undergraduate teaching to join our faculty as an Assistant Professor in Psychology. The successful candidate will be skilled at teaching a variety of courses in-person and online at all levels of a Bachelor's program in Applied Psychology.

Experience related to counseling psychology or a related field addressing mental health from an ecological perspective is preferred. Courses taught will include, but may not be limited to: general psychology, lifespan psychology, psychology of trauma and resilience, abnormal psychology, multicultural psychology, cross-disciplinary topics, as well as other courses developed to meet program needs

Other duties for this position include academic / professional student advisement, cooperation in the enrichment and growth of the program, involved in program, School, and Collee service, development of micro-credentials and certificates, cross-disciplinary collaboration, professional development, and supervision of interns.

Additional Comments This is a full time (10-month), tenure track position.
The salary range for this position is $50,000 - $55,000
