Minimum Qualifications MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

High school diploma or high school equivalency diploma; and three years of experience in administrative support*, which includes use of office software (e.g., email, word processing), provision of customer service, business writing, and management of an office.

*Certification (e.g., IAAP Certified Administrative Professional), diploma, or associate’s degree in office administration, secretarial science, administrative assistance, paralegal, business technology, or office technology substitutes for two years of experience

Preferred Qualifications: Ability to initiate and maintain relationships across a diverse set of stakeholders

Duties Description STANDARD DUTIES:

The incumbent of the position will serve as the Secretary to the Deputy Commissioners and Executive staff in New York City for the Department of Labor and will provide additional administrative support to the Commissioner as needed. The individual will perform a full range of duties, including, but not limited to the following:

• Maintain calendar and meeting schedule for Executive staff
• Review all correspondence and refer requests for information to the appropriate manager within DOL and maintain follow up systems for tracking
• Handle travel arrangements for Executive staff
• Work with the Executive staff in the preparation of required reports including monthly reports to the Governor
• Manage incoming phone calls and visitors for the Executive staff
• Review all correspondence submitted for signature
• Research information on behalf of the Executive staff
• Establish and maintains filing systems
• Draft correspondence as requested

Additional Comments This position will be required to work in-person. No remote work is available.
