Minimum Qualifications - Applicant must possess and maintain a valid New York State driver’s license.
- Applicant must have a strong work ethic and be able to communicate effectively with site staff.
- Ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
- Ability to read equipment manuals, instructional materials and agency documents.
- Ability to work weekends, holidays and occasional evenings.
- Basic maintenance experience and familiarity with the operation of maintenance equipment.

Duties Description Under the supervision of higher-level personnel at the Fort Montgomery State Historic Site, duties will include:
-Assisting with a wide range of museum and grounds maintenance, cleaning and additional tasks as needed.
-Grounds work could include, but is not limited to, tasks such as mowing, trimming and raking of lawns; maintenance and improvement of trails, landscape, decorative plantings, signage, viewing platforms, archaeological features/historic structure remains; and trash removal.
-Cleaning will include sweeping, mopping, vacuuming and dusting of all public and staff spaces and restrooms.
-Additional tasks may include running errands, tracking, ordering and obtaining supplies, setting up special equipment and oversight of the parking lot or program areas during special events as needed.

Additional Comments The position requires work on some weekend days and may occasionally entail schedule adjustment to assist with evening or other after-hours special events.
