Minimum Qualifications Permanent transfer candidates: Current Department of Health (DOH) employee with permanent or contingent-permanent status as a Health Program Administrator (G18); OR current NYS employee with one year or more of permanent or contingent-permanent, competitive service in a title eligible to transfer under Section 52.6, Section 70.1, or Section 70.4 of the Civil Service Law to a Health Program Administrator (G18), Health Program Administrator Trainee 1 (NS), or Health Program Administrator Trainee 2 (NS). Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge of public health programs. Ability to work with a diverse group of professionals in a team environment; excellent written and verbal communication skills; excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple assignments; some knowledge of federal and state regulations with regards to compliance and; ability to use Microsoft Word and Excel applications. Understanding of database and spreadsheets as well as other computer software applications.
Duties Description As a Health Program Administrator in MARO CACFP, duties will include processing and tracking of Program Review status of sponsors in day care centers, supervise support staff and assist in the training of day care center staff to ensure regional compliance with federal regulations governing CACFP activities. Duties may include review, analyze and categorize information for program reviews, maintain essential data and database files; provide technical support to sponsors as needed with regards to policy and federal regulations.
Additional Comments (plus additional downstate adjustment of $3,026 will be added to salary). (Traineeships are non-statutory, resulting in salary G18 upon completion)
