Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's Degree and three years of professional research experience in the appropriate field; or a Master's Degree in the appropriate field and two years of such experience; or a doctorate in the appropriate field.
Preferred Qualifications: Genetic background with clinical genetic counseling experience preferred as well as knowledge of current genetic testing methods, and ability to analyze data. Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Duties Description The Research Scientist 2 will support the Newborn Screening Program by relaying test results to clinicians, examining and testing algorithms, analyzing data and performing other duties as assigned, including educating parents impacted by screening. The Program screens approximately 250,000 newborn specimens annually for 50 conditions.
