Minimum Qualifications Candidates must be reachable for appointment from the appropriate Civil Service eligible list for this title; OR candidates must have one year of permanent competitive or 55-b/c service in this title and be eligible for lateral transfer; OR be eligible for transfer via Section 70.1 of Civil Service Law. To qualify for Section 70.1 transfer, candidates must be licensed and currently registered by New York State as a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) and have at least one year of permanent competitive or 55-b/c service in a title approved for transfer by Civil Service.

Duties Description With oversight from the Licensed Master Social Worker 2, the incumbent of this position will function as a member of an interdisciplinary treatment team in providing a full range of social work services to residents of the Home. The incumbent of this position will assist with the initial admission of residents to the Home. They will work to adhere to the State and Federal Code requirements. The incumbent will also serve as a counselor and liaison between residents, families, community, and the facility; communicating policies, procedures, needs assessments, the implementation of all resident psychosocial needs, etc. They will also perform other duties as assigned.
