Minimum Qualifications
CURRENT STATE EMPLOYEES:
Current New York State employee with one year or more of permanent, contingent-permanent or 55b/c service as an Office Assistant 1; OR current New York State employee with one year or more of permanent, contingent-permanent or 55b/c service in a position allocated to a Grade 6 or above and eligible for transfer under Section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law.

Duties Description The Office Assistant’s primary function is to provide office support to the Front Office of OGS Procurement Services.
Duties may include, but are not limited, to the following:
• Opening, sorting, and reviewing incoming mail and distributing to appropriate staff members
• Managing incoming and outgoing phone calls for the Front Office
• Assisting the Office Assistant Supervisor in scheduling meetings, as needed, for the Chief Procurement Officer and Deputy Chief Procurement Officer
• Assisting the Office Assistant Supervisor and Administrative Specialist with basic clerical work such as data entry, document preparation, and scheduling interviews
• Maintaining membership rosters
