Salary RangeFrom $49703 to $60371 Annually
Minimum Qualifications One year of trade experience subsequent to the completion of an apprenticeship or equivalent training and experience such as that required for an Electrician
Duties Description This position is assigned to the Energy and Sustainability Bureau and will report to the Director of the Bureau. The duties of the position are as follows:
• Works with bureau staff to develop a five-year solar installation plan.
• Supervises the building of solar arrays of various sizes in OPRHP facilities across the state including:
-examining blueprints/drawings to determine placement of
arrays, material and labor requirements
-setting up build meetings with region and work crews
-working with regions to build foundations in preparation of
solar installations
-responsible for all electrical connections between solar arrays
and connection points
-ensure all electrical work meets existing code
-supervise labor crews including scheduling of several six-
person crews across the state
-inspecting electrical panels and connections, and
recommending upgrades when necessary
-working with region to communicate build dates, pre-build
inspections, electrical upgrades, etc.
• Provides maintenance training for existing solar arrays.
• Completes lighting design/installation.
• Assists with other park electrical work as determined by the Bureau Director.
• Assists with off-season carpentry work to include building of recycling cans.
Additional Comments OPERATING NEEDS:
• Must have experience performing basic carpentry work.
• Regular travel throughout the state is required.
• Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license as a term and condition of employment.
• Experience installing solar arrays is preferred but not required.
