Minimum Qualifications A Bachelor’s Degree in marketing or closely related field, and six (6) years of experience in marketing and developing advertising campaigns. A Masters’ Degree can be substituted for one (1) year of experience. Preferred candidates must have excellent organization skills, the ability to multi-task, be flexible and open to new concepts, able to work independently or as part of a team, have excellent writing skills, be creative and able to demonstrate the ability to develop and implement public awareness campaigns, have knowledge of the advertising process and various mediums, and be able to work with various stakeholders.
Duties Description Incumbent serves as Director, Public Awareness Educational Campaigns, playing a critical role in determining, developing, and implementing strategies related to the agency’s multi-media public awareness campaigns. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: planning and executing statewide media campaigns; working closely with content experts; leading the strategic creative process to address substance use disorder topics pertaining to prevention, treatment and recovery; working collaboratively with internal and external partners and stakeholders; designing, writing, developing and editing campaign materials for various formats; developing marketing strategies; ensuring translation of materials to Spanish; overseeing contracts with advertising agencies and media buyers; and analyzing effectiveness of campaigns.
