Minimum Qualifications Candidates must be reachable for appointment on the current Civil Service eligible list for this title; OR candidates must have one year of permanent service as a Licensed Psychologist and be eligible for lateral transfer; OR be eligible for transfer via Section 70.1 of Civil Service Law. Licensed Psychologist is a continuous recruitment examination. Duties Description POSITION SUMMARY: Licensed Psychologists are licensed health care professionals who supervise and/or provide a variety of psychological services to individuals* and groups in accordance with Article 153 of the Education Law. Incumbents provide clinical leadership, program management, and training in the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of psychological disorders; and develop and implement psychological programs and services.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop, implement, and monitor behavior support plans and functional behavioral assessments for individuals with challenging behaviors associated with Intellectual Disability/Developmental Disability and psychiatric diagnoses.
• Collect data and summarize for psychiatric consults.
• Complete psychological evaluations as needed.
• Participate as a member of an interdisciplinary team and attend meetings for individual service plans, case reviews, and residential habilitation.
• Develop ADL and other self-help skills may be needed for certain individuals.
• Develop and present individuals’ cases to various review committees (BMRC, ICC) for approval.
• Participate as a member of the Psychology Department, which includes attending monthly meetings and performing special assignments as directed, i.e. risk assessments, higher risk behavior support Plans, competency evaluations and impact statements.
• Perform routine psychological assessments such as intelligence testing and measures of adaptive behavior.
• Clinical leadership and supervision of master’s Level Psychologists.
• Perform forensic evaluations.
• Provide specialized treatment and expert testimony as needed.
• Perform specialized assessments (capacity, functional, personality, risk, and competency MOLST).
• Design and application of appropriate specialized psychological interventions.
• Participation in policy development workgroups.
• Provide consultation to other agencies.
• Crises assessments and services for all 3 counties Westchester, Rockland, and Orange
• Other duties as assigned.
