Minimum Qualifications Candidate must be a matriculated undergraduate or graduate college student. Enrollment in a computer based curriculum is preferred. Candidate must have a working knowledge of Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office Suite; hardware setup, configuration and repair; software installation configuration and troubleshooting.
Duties Description This position is located in Desktop Services within Information Technology. Duties include setup, configuration and testing of hardware (laptops, desktops, monitors, printers, scanners, etc.); installation, configuration and troubleshooting of software; Help Desk phone coverage which includes logging requests into incident response software; providing customer assistance over the phone and in person; assisting with equipment tracking and movement; researching and developing solutions to technical problems.
Additional Comments Candidates must be customer oriented, able to communicate professionally, resourceful and able to perform work timely. This is a six month internship and candidates must be able to work approximately 30 hours per week. Actual work schedule will be determined based on service coverage needs and the student’s class schedule.
