Minimum Qualifications Clinical Physician 1:
Minimum qualifications for appointment: possession of a license and current registration to practice medicine in New York State, and one year of post-licensure medical experience.
Clinical Physician 2:
Minimum qualifications for appointment: Promotion: one year of service as a Clinical Physician 1. Open Competitive: possession of a license and current registration to practice medicine in New York State, and two years of post-licensure medical experience.
Duties Description Clinical Physician 1: Diagnoses, treats, prescribes and provides general medical care and treatment services for assigned individuals, typically under the general direction of a Clinical Physician 2.
Clinical Physician 2: Independently diagnoses, treats, prescribes and provides general medical care and treatment services for assigned individuals; provides clinical supervision and guidance to Clinical Physician 1 and other medical providers; and may manage and supervise medical services for a facility.
Additional Comments This position is temporary and will be re-evaluated after one year. The hours will be 30 hours per week on site in the facility and 10 hours for off-site/on call Monday thru Friday. Actual on site hours can be discussed during the interview, but two of the full days will be Wednesday's and Friday's
