Salary RangeFrom $31870 to $39423 Annually
Minimum Qualifications Permanent service in this title, or one year of permanent competitive or 55-b/c service in a title SG-4 or higher and otherwise eligible for transfer under Section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law. Candidates eligible for 55-b/c appointment are also eligible to apply.
Duties Description The Office Assistant will be assigned to the Board of Examiners of Sex Offenders (BESO) and will be responsible for the following tasks:
• Entering case information in BESO database
• Creating and maintaining Board case files
• Delivering and picking up mail/correspondence
• Scanning documents
• Photocopying documents
• Backing up database and printing reports
• Filing
• Assisting Board members and Sr. Investigator as requested/needed with clerical duties.
These tasks are essential to the timely processing of risk level recommendations for sex offenders, registration determinations and updated recommendations in response to petitions for risk level modifications.
