Preferred Qualifications: Professional administrative experience related to medical or programmatic review, quality assurance, audit and/or regulatory activities in a health care facility regulated by the New York State Department of Health or other state or local agency. Health care experience and knowledge of Hospital and Diagnostic & Treatment Center regulations and associated federal Medicare regulations; excellent communication, written and organizational skills; ability to function independently and as a member of a team; and deal with multiple tasks and priorities; familiarity with the Health Commerce System, Microsoft Office programs, Outlook, SharePoint, Adobe Acrobat Pro, State Financial System, Executive Correspondence Unit (ECU) process and policies and procedures for responding to FOIL inquiries.

Duties Description Working within the Office of Primary Care and Health Systems Management, Center for Healthcare Provider Services and Oversight, Division of Hospitals and Diagnostic & Treatment Centers, the individual selected for this position will perform key administrative and communications tasks for the Division. The position is located at 875 Central Avenue Albany, NY. This is a full-time position. Responsibilities may include the following: *Managing correspondence to regulated parties and inquiries from legislators, advocates and the public. Conduct research of law, rules, regulations, federal requirements, and program procedures, prepare a preliminary draft and identify appropriate program staff to review the response, tracking correspondence in progress and ensure appropriate routing to senior staff for final review and disposition. *Assist with posting materials to the Division website and with distributing communications to hospitals and clinics through the IHANS system. *Monitoring the Bureau Mail Log (BML) for inquiries from regulated parties and the public, research the issue and reach out to program staff and subject matter experts as needed to determine the appropriate response. *Update and maintain health facility information in the Health Commerce system, manage HCS accounts for hospital and clinic users. Act as Program Commerce Coordinator for the Division. *Coordinate the Division’s response to FOIL requests and subpoenas for the Division’s Central Office and Regional Offices and assist in assembling responsive documents for FOIL requests assigned to Central Office. *Update the Division’s ECU excel file and follow-up on executive correspondence received by the Division. *Contract administration, including reviewing and processing vouchers in the State Financial System.*Participate in process improvement projects undertaken by the Division. *Perform other duties as requested.
