Minimum Qualifications Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree plus three years relevant experience with server, virtual machine, storage, cloud hosted infrastructure, and/or hosted application administration, or Associate's degree plus six years relevant experience with server, virtual machine, storage, cloud hosted infrastructure, and/or hosted application administration.



Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science plus three years relevant experience. Experience with Azure administration, CommVault Backup system, VMWare (virtual machines), Windows Server, and/or Compellent Storage system is preferred.

Duties Description Essential Functions

      On-Premises Infrastructure Administration

Setup and administer virtual machines that satisfy business, operational, and security requirements.
Install, configure, and support Windows servers.
Implement all server-based hardware, operating system, and software upgrades.
Support migration of server-based systems to newer products.
Support infrastructure security monitoring, and routine maintenance activities
Build and deploy patches and upgrades using Configuration Manager.
Monitor server performance, troubleshoot problem areas.
Setup and administer file shares. Monitor disk space allocation and storage utilization.
Configure and support the storage system. Optimize data compression and utilization of storage.
Configure and support the backup system and tape backups.
Maintain, operate, and document media storage systems, including physical and virtual media systems.
Configure and support data replication from primary data center to the Disaster Recovery site.
Build and maintain the Disaster Recovery infrastructure.
Analyze and remediate security vulnerabilities identified in the infrastructure.
Troubleshoot and remediate production issues. Solve problems of incompatibility among computer and telecommunications hardware/software acquired from different vendors.

      Cloud Hosting Administration including Azure and Office 365

Administer Azure/Active Directory (AD) integration and AD accounts.
Deploy, configure, and administer applications in Azure.
Setup and manage virtual servers, databases, and storage in Azure.
Administer Azure B2C configuration and accounts.
Remediate vulnerabilities identified in cloud infrastructure.
Administer Office 365 configuration and email accounts. Support operational and security requirements.
Configure retention policies for Office 365 and Azure solutions. Support e-Discovery functions.
Configure, administer, and monitor other cloud-based infrastructure and applications.
Other Duties and Responsibilities

Work closely with the Information Security Officer to identify and apply appropriate security controls for user access to business information and submit updates to the Disaster Recovery Plan when system changes occur.
May train and evaluate employees.
Assist with the development, documentation and implementation of procedures.
Assist with the assessment/development and implementation of internal controls, and participate in the review and testing of same.
Undertake special assignments as directed.
Must maintain regular attendance in accordance with DASNY attendance and leave policies.
Must adhere to the NYS Information Security Policy Standards established and issued by the Office of Cyber Security and Critical Infrastructure Coordination. (Standards can be found on the Intranet).
