Minimum Qualifications Must be physically able to preform the duties of the position. Candidates must be at least 16 years of age. Preference may be given to candidates at least 18 years of age.

Duties Description - Will be required to preform manual labor duties which includes but aren't limited to cleaning toilets, bathrooms, shower rooms, mowing lawns with both riding and push mowers, weed eating, operating leaf blowers, using rakes and shovels.
- May be expected to work in the Campground Recycling and Garbage Center handling and processing garbage as mandated by New York State, County and Local Landfill policies, along with handling and processing recyclables and deposit returnable containers.
- Will be required to lift full garbage cans chest high.
- The candidate must have customer service skills and be able to answer the public's inquiries.
- Will be required to handle and be accountable for money and all financial reporting done for the week.
- If assigned as an assistant caretaker, you must stay at the campground on the supervisors days off and be able to cover for them in an emergency situation.
- Must be well groomed and wear appropriate work clothes including work boots; no sneakers.
- Report and injury or illness to your supervisor immediately.

Additional Comments These are temporary positions with a duration of 4/29/22 through 10/31/22. Position available at one or more of the facilities in the Indian Lake working circle area for the 2022 camping season. Program needs will determine the actual end date of the position. Work hours and schedule may vary, and will be discussed at the interview.

Must have a valid driver's license or demonstrate the ability to meet the transportation needs of the position. Must be able to negotiate difficult terrain. Must be able to work in remote areas. Must be able to work in adverse weather conditions. Overtime may be required. Weekends and holidays may be required. Must be available for emergency response. Must be available to respond to after-hours emergencies. Must be able to lift and move objects up to 50 pounds. Must reside in State Housing. Must have certification to operate motorized boats or personal water crafts at time of appointment.
