Minimum Qualifications Open Competitive: possession of a bachelor’s degree in accounting or business administration, and four years of professional financial experience in a healthcare field. One year of the experience must have been at a supervisory level.
Substitution: master’s degree in accounting or business administration may substitute for one year of the professional financial experience

Duties Description The Supervisor of Veterans Homes Fiscal Administrator serves as the Director of the business/fiscal office and is responsible for overseeing the fiscal planning services; preparing Medicaid, Medicare, and Veterans' Administration cost reports; preparing various facility operating budgets; directing business office activities such as resident funds, payroll, employee benefits, worker’s compensation, FMLA, purchasing, accounts payable, and central supplies. The incumbent is also responsible for maintaining a working knowledge of reimbursement principles for all third-party payors, including changes in their policies and procedures on required reporting formats; responsible for establishing any new systems for identifying the facility's position relative to the authorized appropriation level for each fiscal year.
