Minimum Qualifications EDUCATION & REQUIREMENTS:
Education level required: Associates Degree in Business
Equivalent Experience required: 3+ years of related work experience
Knowledge Required: Accounting principles; Payroll operations; preferably ADP Workforce NOW; basic knowledge of current computer applications (Microsoft Office); Excellent communication skills. Knowledge of PeopleSoft. Financial Management System a plus.
Duties Description BASIC FUNCTION:
Assist Payroll Manager and Assistant Payroll Manager with the processing of the bi-weekly payroll and all payroll components, including, but not limited to, employee time & attendance and payroll expense reconciliation.
WORK PERFORMED:
• Review payroll coding from the general ledger interface from ADP and processing of payroll related invoices, including life and health insurance payments.
• Process new hires, terminations, leaves of absence and employee status changes in accordance with information provided by Human Resources.
• Enter, verify and transmit all payroll changes via ADP payroll application.
• Prepare bi-weekly payroll wire-transfer for applicable funding of the Corporation and subsidiaries.
• Remit bi-weekly NYS Deferred Compensation, Municipal Credit Union and SEFA payments.
• Record and reconcile payroll expenses using PeopleSoft financial system and ADP GL Infolink program.
• Review and approve employee timesheets in the ADP Time & Attendance System.
• Prepare monthly FSA/Dependent Care and Transit Check reconciliations and payments.
• Assist with inquiries from internal and external auditors as necessary.
• Projects, tasks and analyses as assigned.
Position expected to work onsite and/or remote consistent with NYS and ESD guidelines and needs.
