Minimum Qualifications Non-Competitive: A bachelor's degree and five years of IT auditing experience*, or an associate degree and
seven years of the experience listed.

*IT auditing experience must have been gained in any one or combination of the following:

• An information system or audit professional with responsibility for designing, developing, and evaluating
mainframe and server-based audit systems;

• An information system or audit professional with responsibility for designing and programming tests to
perform audits of physical and logical access controls of mainframe and server-based systems;

• An information system or audit professional with responsibility for data extraction, manipulation and
analysis using information from diverse sources, including preparation and presentation of written
reports of findings suitable for a non-technical audience;

• An information system or audit professional with responsibility for supporting an audit group, including
developing and maintaining audit systems and identifying and providing data in support of audit activity.

Duties Description The duties of the Information System Auditor 2 position in the Technical Services Audit Unit include, but are
not limited to, the following:

• Direct supervision of staff responsible for providing technical support and maintenance of a wide
variety of agency and audit systems, including those required by federal and state mandates for
monitoring, tracking, and reporting of program compliance and fraud prevention activities;

• Direct supervision and support of all audit computer matching processes using state, federal and
third-party data sources;

• Direct supervision and support of audit requests for changes or modifications to agency systems,
including submission of source change request forms, and coordination with ITS in the design, testing
and implementation of modifications;

• Direct supervision and support of staff responsible for utilizing various agency Oracle and SQL Server
databases to extract and manipulate data sets in support of fiscal and field audit and program
integrity reviews;

• Supervise the oversight and monitoring of the Computer Matching Agreements and Memorandums of
Understanding with various federal and state agencies to ensure ongoing compliance with security
requirements.

• Direct and manage the identification of system and program deficiencies and recommend and
implement appropriate controls;

• Develop and maintain a working knowledge of agency and audit systems and subsystems, as well as
program, policy, and reporting processes;

• Develop and maintain knowledge in all agency program areas, data sources and audit policies as
well as knowledge of agency and audit systems and subsystems;

• Assure that subordinate staff receive the training and informational resources to maintain the high
level of knowledge, skills and abilities needed to achieve the audit and business goals of the office;

• With other audit managers, participate in the planning of projects and for the utilization of resources
needed to achieve audit goals and the overall mission of the office; and

• Keeps management informed through verbal and written communications as needed and through the
submission of periodic status reports on all aspects of the unit’s business.

Additional Comments A full-time, permanent, non-competitive appointment will be made. If certified by Civil Service, mandatory
reemployment list candidates must be considered first for appointment to this title. This position requires less
than 25% travel. A background check of the selected candidate will be required.
