Duties Description The Office of Mental Health is seeking a qualified candidate to fill a full-time one Associate Administrative Analyst, Grade 23 position to work within Office of Quality Improvement as a Quality Outreach and Communications Coordinator. This position will report to the Director of the NYS Incident Management and Reporting System (NIMRS). The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with the implementation of the new NIMRS 2.0 application as well assisting with the development of the data analysis and corresponding communications strategy of the Office of Quality Improvement (OQI), under the oversight of the OQI leadership team. NIMRS is the application for providers of mental health services to report incidents to OMH and is required by regulation for facilities to utilize to support clinical risk reduction and incident management functions.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Work with the NYS Incident Management System team on the development and implementation of the new application, including rolling out the application to the 1600+ statewide users.
• Utilize the NYS Incident Management System and other OQI data sources to perform data analyses and to track metrics, create reports, and recommend communications strategies based on goals.
• Develop and disseminate clearly written, well-designed quality improvement communication materials for OMH Licensed and Operated providers, in a variety of formats including web content, posters, and training materials.
• Create, format, edit reports highlighting quality improvement activities and data analysis.
• Coordinate activities with the OMH Public Information Office.
• Perform tasks assigned by the Director of OQI or designee.

Minimum Qualifications Candidates must be employed by New York State to be eligible to apply for this position.

Transfer:

In order to be eligible for transfer, candidates must have one year of permanent competitive or 55-b/c service as an Associate Administrative Analyst, Grade 23, and be eligible for lateral transfer; OR be eligible to transfer under Section 52.6 or Section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law.
