Duties Description o Opens, reads, routes, and distributes incoming mail or other materials and answers routine letters.
o Description of Tasks Performed to Complete Activity:
o Review and scan incoming mail and emails to be logged and routed to correct divisions.
o Monitor General Inquiry Email box.
o Read all incoming emails.
o Respond to the constituents and forward the emails to the correct division.
o Provide administrative support to the Exec. Director and Operations Manager.
o Maintaining the Division’s calendar.
o Printing daily information for the Executive Director.
o Make travel arrangements and submit reimbursement requests.
o Order supplies and reconcile statement in SFS.
o Track the progress of requests and update the information.
o Assign drafting assignments to the writers.
o Maintain and update and excel spreadsheet regarding all writing assignments.
Minimum Qualifications Competitive Minimum Qualifications:
You must be currently reachable on the appropriate eligible list for this title, eligible under the 55 b/c
program (see below), or eligible to transfer to this title under Section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law.
70.1 Transfer:
For 70.1 transfer to an Administrative Assistant 2, SG-15 you must have one year of permanent competitive service in an approved title allocated to SG-13 or above.

Appointments via transfer must not result in a second, consecutive transfer with an advancement of more than two S-grades or one M-grade.

Telecommuting: The Office of the New York State Comptroller (OSC) supports telecommuting where it is reasonable to do so based upon the agency’s mission and operational needs. Generally, employees new to OSC will be restricted from telecommuting for at least 8 calendar weeks. After the initial 8 calendar week restriction, if an employee’s primary residence location, duties, and work performance are aligned with telecommuting and operational needs they may be allowed to do so. Generally, OSC employees may telecommute up to 5 days per pay period but may be approved to telecommute less.
