Duties Description • Review and analyze reports and other supporting data to evaluate the effectiveness of funding and staffing initiatives.
• Develop and maintain schedules, spreadsheets, and other reporting mechanisms to demonstrate progress toward program goals related to overtime utilization and target/fill levels.
• Provide technical assistance to program managers and maintain program expertise regarding human resources policies and practices, or other administrative processes.
• Obtain and review credentials, references and other documentation to support transactions and decisions about hiring or promotion.
• Supervise, train or coordinate the efforts of administrative analysts and other lower-level administrative support employees.
• Review subordinate work to ensure compliance with schedules and project objectives, and for accuracy, completeness, and soundness of recommendations.
• Meet with managers to determine project goals and establish performance metrics for successful implementation of projects related to work accomplishment reporting, fiscal management and resource utilization.
• Conduct research projects regarding program issues, office priorities and activities for management.
• Make presentations to regional and/or program managers at meetings regarding updates or performance indicators related to division initiatives.
Responsibilities may include serving a role within the Incident Command System to support the department’s response to regional and statewide emergency situations.
Minimum Qualifications To be considered for permanent appointment, candidates must be reachable on the current Civil Service eligible list or be eligible for reassignment or transfer in accordance with Civil Service Law.
