Duties Description Under the direction of the Regional Manager, the Program Aide must be able to perform the following essential functions:
•The incumbent must be able to perform a variety of clerical, and administrative activities that support the work of the Office of Real Property. These duties will range from administrative and analytical support duties for the agency, as well as direct support duties for the Batavia Regional Office.
•Utilize a variety of software, word processing, and database applications to make inquires, updates and changes to various systems, databases and spreadsheets. Learn, maintain, and update skills in computer technology.
•Collaborate with Human Resources to process forms and transactions for employees and coordinate new hire paperwork/onboarding processes
•Communicate effectively via telephone, in writing and/or in person with a variety of staff, other agency personnel, the assessment community, and taxpayers.
•Maintain confidentiality of information and exercise good judgement.
•Multi-task and prioritize assignments; organize workload and files.
•Meet the Department time and attendance rules and regulations.
Examples of specific tasks
?Place orders for toners and office supplies
?Answer all incoming calls with a pleasant, helpful, and positive attitude
?Handle all incoming and outgoing mail
?Provide direct support to our Market Value Survey functions including but not limited to
o Maintain/update excel spreadsheets for each survey cycle
o Maintain/update databases for each survey cycle
o Prepare initial survey folder setup for each applicable town
o Mailing of survey information to include initial contact notification and document request through the final Property Inventory and Valuation Reports
Minimum Qualifications The selected candidate must be eligible for transfer under Civil Service Law or reachable on the appropriate eligible list for this title and location in accordance with the provisions of Civil Service Law, Rules and Regulations.
