Duties Description Duties included, but not limited to:
• Direct Supervision of the Capital Assets Unit.
• Reviewing and approving annual site visit plan.
• Annual review of Asset Management Reports prior to submission to the Office of the State Comptroller.
• Perform periodic review of on-site field reviews by staff.
• Review and update as necessary all policies and procedures within the unit.
• Prepare training modules to address agency questions and concerns.
• Work with OGS Real Estate and the Business Services Center to ensure consistency among the Asset Management Facility and Property databases.
• Review all preliminary site visit findings.
• Apply risk assessment process to site visit planning.

Note:
• Telecommuting may be offered after six months of successful transition into the position.

Minimum Qualifications Current New York State employee with one year or more of qualifying permanent service in a position allocated to a Grade 21 or above and eligible for transfer under Section 70.1 of the Civil Service Law.

Candidates must have a bachelor's degree in accounting, auditing, or taxation or any bachelor’s degree including or supplemented by 24 semester credit hours in accounting and/or auditing, and completion of a two-year traineeship.

NOTE: IN ORDER TO AWARD THE PROPER CREDIT FOR WORK EXPERIENCE, RESUMES MUST INCLUDE MONTH AND YEAR FOR START AND END DATES. IF ANY OF THIS EXPERIENCE IS LESS THAN FULL TIME YOU MUST INDICATE THE AVERAGE NUMBER OF HOURS WORKED PER WEEK.
