Duties Description -Assist with the development, review, and revision of emergency preparedness policies, plans, and procedures.
-Assist in the development and delivery of regional exercises in accordance with Homeland Security Exercise and Evaluation Program (HSEEP) guidance.
-Assist in the development, review, and delivery of emergency management training presentations and materials
-Perform administrative duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications Candidates must be a matriculated undergraduate or graduate college student. Documentation of current matriculation and enrollment in the current semester must be submitted with your resume.
Preferred Qualifications:
• College or graduate student interested in exploring a career in public health administration or emergency management.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work on multiple projects with various staff, prioritize assignments and meet deadlines
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to problem solve effectively
• Flexible and responsive
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Proficient with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Access, Excel, PowerPoint) and other computer programs as needed.
Additional Comments These positions may be year-round and are considered temporary, part-time, and non-competitive. Student Assistants are expected to work in their assigned office. Hours worked and schedule are flexible and dependent upon class schedule and work assignment. You must maintain matriculated student status to retain employment.
