Duties Description Populate and format pre-existing risk matrix templates. Maintain the policy tracking log. Document new procedures and update the internal desk manual. Update questionnaires based on feedback. Track committee meeting agendas. Initiate background checks. Review incoming vendor invoices to confirm cost appropriateness.

Minimum Qualifications You must be currently reachable on the appropriate list for this title or eligible to transfer to this title under Section 70.1 of the Civil service Law.
For 70.1 transfer to an Administrative Assistant 2, salary grade (SG)-15, you must have one year of permanent competitive, or 55-b/55-c service in an approved title for transfer allocated to a SG-13 or above.

Appointments via transfer must not result in a second, consecutive transfer with an advancement of more than two S-grades or one M-grade.

Additional Comments Preferred Qualifications/Knowledge, skills, and abilities:

• Experience in an administrative support or clerical role.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (sorting, filtering, and managing tracking logs).
• Meticulous approach to reviewing invoices against contracts, redlining policies, and managing tracking logs.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills for corresponding with management, brokers, and external service providers.
• Ability to manage multiple administrative workflows and parallel projects while meeting strict deadlines.
• Familiarity using Microsoft Office 365, Microsoft Planner, document management systems, and vendor web portals.
• Ability to handle confidential compliance data sensitively and capture accurate meeting minutes and to-do lists.

Telecommuting: The Office of the New York State Comptroller (OSC) supports telecommuting where it is reasonable to do so based upon the agency’s mission and operational needs. Generally, employees new to OSC will be restricted from telecommuting for at least 8 calendar weeks.
